Laundries frequently require the benchtop to fit tightly between walls, around a trough and over appliances. That makes scribing, moisture protection and support as important as they are in a kitchen.
Typical laundry work
- Remove an existing laminate or timber top.
- Cut a replacement worktop to length and depth.
- Scribe between walls where required.
- Cut a standard laundry trough or drop-in sink opening.
- Finish exposed ends and seal cut substrate.
- Install above washer/dryer spaces with suitable support where required.
Made-to-order laminate is often a strong fit.
A laundry may only require one or two benchtop sections, making it a good candidate for a made-to-order laminate top rather than a larger kitchen-scale project. Ask us about suitable Polytec options or provide the worktop you have already selected.
Moisture matters: laundries are wet areas. Product selection, sink detailing and sealing need to suit the environment; existing water damage or cabinet swelling is outside a straightforward benchtop replacement and must be reviewed.
