Bunnings sells benchtops under several different labels, and they don't all install the same way. Practa and generic laminate benchtops
Sold as fixed-length laminate panels rather than a matched cabinet system, so fit is entirely dependent on site measurement. These need the same care as any fixed-length laminate: accurate cutting to the actual wall-to-wall dimension (not the packaging length), properly prepared joins, and sealed cut edges around any sink or cooktop opening.
Solid timber and hardwood benchtops
Timber behaves differently from laminate — it moves seasonally, needs oiling or sealing on every cut face (not just the visible edges), and is heavier to handle and support over long spans. We check the specific timber species and finish before committing to cut lengths, and we recommend allowing a small expansion gap at fixed end points rather than a tight scribe.
Before purchasing: tell us which Bunnings range you're looking at — Practa, generic laminate or solid timber — plus your layout. Construction and edge detail differ enough between them that it changes what we can cut, join and expose.

You do not need to organise one trade for removal and another installer for the new worktop. Standard removal and disposal can be included in the reviewed quote. Specialist stone removal is assessed separately.
