A well-known laminate range with broad decor choice.
Laminex is one of the two major Australian laminate benchtop brands we work with regularly, alongside Polytec. It offers a wide range of colours and finishes — from matte and gloss solid colours through to woodgrain textures — in both square-edge and post-formed (rounded front edge) profiles.
What to consider when specifying Laminex
- Finish — matte, gloss and woodmatt/textured finishes all handle fingerprints, scratches and cleaning differently.
- Edge profile — square-edge suits a contemporary look; post-formed rounded edges suit a softer, more traditional kitchen.
- Thickness — standard and heavier substrate options affect span support and how the benchtop reads visually.
- Colour-through vs. surface-decor options, where relevant to your chosen range.
Product availability changes. Colour, finish, thickness, profile and maximum dimensions are confirmed against Laminex's current range before ordering.
How supply + install is priced
As with our Polytec supply + install service, we don't quote a flat per-metre rate. Cost depends on the number of pieces, dimensions, profile, finished ends, joins, cut-outs, delivery and site installation. The calculator gives an allowance first, then we review and confirm.
Laminex or Polytec?
Both are legitimate, widely-used Australian laminate brands with overlapping but different decor ranges. If you already have a colour preference from a showroom or sample, we'll work with whichever brand has it — see our Polytec page for the alternative range.
