Benchtop replacement sits between a cosmetic update and a full renovation. The cabinetry stays in place while the old worktop is removed and the replacement is fitted to the existing layout.
Our replacement service can include
- Removal of standard laminate or timber benchtops.
- Standard disposal of removed tops.
- Checking and preparing the existing cabinet tops.
- Cutting, joining and scribing the new benchtop.
- Sink and cooktop cut-outs for suitable materials.
- Finishing and sealing exposed cut surfaces.
Important: stone, masonry, unusually heavy tops, splashbacks bonded to the benchtop, hidden water damage and structural cabinet repairs need separate assessment. Plumbing, gas and electrical disconnection/reconnection are excluded unless specifically arranged.
What can change the price?
The biggest variables are the number of benchtop sections, the number and type of joins, whether walls require scribing, sink/cooktop cut-outs, access, the existing top and whether the cabinets need rectification before a new worktop can sit correctly.

Can we keep the existing sink and cooktop?
Often yes, provided the appliances and sink are suitable for reuse and the new benchtop can accommodate the required openings. We recommend confirming dimensions before ordering the replacement worktop.
